Large Loss Management
Large and specialist losses are dealt with exclusively within OSG by our most senior and experienced personnel under the control of Tom Cleary, B.Sc, FRICS, FCILA, Dip Const Econ., Director, who is the manager responsible for our Large and Specialist Loss Unit
Without exception, all members of our Large & Specialist Loss Unit are proactive decision makers and problem solvers with high level communication skills.
Fraud Management
OSG has a recognised expertise and track history in the investigation and successful detection of insurance fraud. For further information see our fraud section. The unit is headed by Danny Donohoe, Managing Director Property Adjusting
Catastrophe
Catastrophe response can involve major multi-loss incidents following weather related or other catastrophes on a regionalised or a national basis. In addition our specialilst loss unit is responsible for large catastrophic single incidents involving major losses of a large and/or specialist nature.
Construction and Subsidence
This unit, headed by Tom Cleary, specialises in construction and subsidence losses. The unit skills include building design, cost analysis, planning and building regulations, civil and structural engineering, resoration techniques, together with buidling contract law and construction guarantee bonds
Oil Pollution and Contamination
To cater for the increasing level of oil pollution claims OSG recognised the need to develop a specialist environmental investigation and management unit. This unit includes a mircobiologist and environmental engineer in the team, headed by Tom Cleary.
Forensic Accounting
OSG are the only firm of Chartered Loss Adjusters to have three forensic accountants, supporting our Specialist Forsenic Accounting Division. This unit specialises in all aspects of business interruption, financial loss, stock, fidelity guarantee, directors and officers, taxation and fraud analysis. The unit is headed by John McGee BSc(Mgmt), FCCA, FCILA, Managing Director, OSG Group.
Technology/Engineering
OSG has a proven track record in the comprehensive investigation of all aspects of electonics, manufacturing processes, electrical and mechanical services, security systems, plant and machinery together with computer technology and restoration/reclamation techniques for damaged equipment. This unit is headed by Patrick Ryan, BEng (Hons), CEng,MIEE, AIFireE.
