Fraud and our red flag protocol
OSG fully understands the threat that fraud represents to both the profitability and reputation of the market leaders. We maintain an ongoing awareness of all industry initiatives including the Anti-Fraud Campaign of the Irish Insurance Federation and the success of its members in challenging a wide range of fraud.
All OSG staff are fully trained in fraud awareness and investigation, as well as being supported by bespoke fraud detection systems.
Central monitoring and control of these processes takes place at our head office in the Merrion Centre in Dublin under the supervision of a member of our Group Executive. This has resulted in the successful identification of many high profile cases within the insurance industry and the delivery of significant savings to our principals.
Apart from our link with InsuranceLink to assist with fraud detection we have further developed an internal robust Red Flag Protocol on our electronic workflow system for every claim investigated.
We are fully committed to the delivery of further process improvements in dealing with fraudulent claims which will significantly improve the awareness of our staff and their success in tackling fraud leakage.
